The Golden State Warriors are widely credited with making it acceptable to shoot a lot of three-pointers in the modern era of the NBA.
The duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson played a crucial role in this, behind their incredible ability to shoot from the three-point line.
Considering Curry’s insane ability to shoot from the deep, being his teammate is arguably the best way to learn about the secret to improving the three-point shot.
Former member of the Golden State Warriors, Donte DiVincenzo, recently credited Curry for his incredible three-point shooting for the New York Knicks this season, as revealed via Ian Begley on Twitter.
“I watched Steph go 1-for-12 and come in the next day and shoot 1,000 shots. And I’ve seen him go 12-for-12 and come in (the next day) and shoot 1,000 shots,” Bagley wrote.
Donte DiVincenzo’s hit 42.4% of his 259 3-pt FG so far, a big factor in NYK 25-17 record. One reason for DiVincenzo’s strong shooting? Steph Curry & GSW.

DiVincenzo revealed that regardless of the outcome of the game, Curry adhered to a strict training regiment to ensure he worked on his flaws.
In fact, the Knicks guard went as far as saying that Curry used to shoot 1,000 shots from deep even after being perfect from the floor during a game.
Keeping that in mind, DiVincenzo has learned a thing or two about becoming one of the best three-point shooters of the 2023-24 NBA season.
To put things into perspective, DiVincenzo has attempted 259 three-point shots this season and has made 110 of them.
As a result, the 26-year-old is shooting an incredible 42.4% from the three-point line.
Thanks to DiVincenzo’s contributions, the Knicks have managed to stay one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.
The Knicks currently have a 25-17 record as they hold the fifth seed in the East.
