The Golden State Warriors are hoping that Draymond Green takes a good, long look in the mirror in the weeks ahead.
Now that the star play is suspended indefinitely, he will have plenty of time to work on himself and do whatever is necessary to prevent further incidents like the ones that have led to so many ejections.
On Run It Back, former NBA player Chandler Parsons says that it’s time for Green to focus on himself and his well-being, putting basketball to the side.
Parsons said:
“This isn’t about basketball anymore for Draymond Green. This is about him becoming a better person. This is about him bettering himself, becoming a better man, maturing, figuring out whatever anger or emotional issues he has.”
“Personally, he needs to be better,” he concluded.

Green isn’t the only player in the NBA who gets into trouble for getting too heated on the court.
But the frequency and severity of Green’s actions are concerning, and the fact that he has publicly said he has no plans to change also raises eyebrows.
From a team perspective, this only hurts the Warriors because they are repeatedly losing Green due to suspensions that could easily be avoided.
It has gotten to the point where Green, a four-time champion, is better known for his antics than his abilities on the floor.
It is very clear that something has to change and that will require a lot of introspection and working with trained professionals.
Reports have said that Green is willing to set basketball aside and address his issues, which is a positive first step.
It might be some time before he’s ready to play again but that is obviously for the best.
