The Golden State Warriors have been immensely successful in the NBA over the last ten years or so.
While the Dubs have had some great players don the team’s jersey during that period, they owe most of their success to Stephen Curry.
Speaking of Curry, he is one of the rarest players in NBA history, alongside Isiah Thomas, to be under 6’5″ and still be the primary superstar on their respective teams.
Keeping that in mind, the Detroit Pistons legend recently shared a picture of himself with a young Curry via his official Twitter handle and NBA fans had various reactions to it.
Let it be known THE OUTLIERS! pic.twitter.com/nAg7Ha6fmn

The fact this lil kid changed basketball forever and is arguably in the GOAT convo (or about to be) is still hilariously shocking…. 🥹😂 pic.twitter.com/8z7Tqt4L9S

Definitely the outliers.
I think we should also agree that being a 1A on a NBA championship team is damn near an outlier for a basketball player regardless of height. Just wish that was expressed more during that debate. A lot of 6'6+ guys that fell short (pun intended lol)

2 of the 3 best players under 6’5 I’ve ever seen.

Which is why Zeke and Steph deserve more respect than they get! Both should be considered top 10!

In the picture, Thomas is standing with a young Curry in front of him.
Curry’s father, Dell, can be seen with Thomas’ son Zeke in the picture as well.
While Curry went on to become one of the best players to ever play in the NBA, the same cannot be said for Zeke.
The Detroit Pistons legend most likely posted an image to point out that, as rare as it may be, small guards can still lead their teams to the NBA Championships.
After all, it’s one of the hottest debates in the NBA right now, with New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson being criticized for not being the perfect player to lead the team to a potential title.
While Brunson is an excellent player, he still has a long way to go to be in the same conversation with the likes of Curry and Thomas.
