There haven’t been a whole lot of bright spots for the Golden State Warriors this season, with the team repeatedly dropping winnable games and falling to 12th spot in the Western Conference.
However, the hard work and development of Jonathan Kuminga is a sight to behold and something to be very excited about.
Draymond Green had high praise for Kuminga, according to a quote from NBC Sports.
“We had older guys ride our legs for years…So now it’s his turn. He’s starting to carry us more than we’re carrying him,” Green said.
It's Kuminga's time to shine 💪

Kuminga is putting up 14.8 points and 4.5 rebounds this season, his third year in the league.
That’s quite the improvement from last season when Kuminga produced 9.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
Kuminga has been very consistent, especially recently.
During a win over the Philadelphia 76ers, Kuminga scored 26 points and 7 rebounds, and only days before he posted 31 points against the Sacramento Kings.
For an aging team, Kuminga really does feel like the future of the franchise.
Just a few months ago, things were looking very different for Kuminga, who was reportedly upset with head coach Steve Kerr and his position on the team.
He wasn’t satisfied with his role at Golden State and there was a lot of speculation that he could demand a trade before the season was over.
Kerr and Kuminga had a productive sit-down chat and things changed, with the star player now averaging 24.3 minutes per game.
His team believes in him, he’s getting more time in games, and he’s proving that he truly could be the future of the Warriors.
