Over the past few weeks, the Golden State Warriors have managed to lay down the foundation for making a stunning comeback in the 2023-24 NBA season.
While Stephen Curry is undoubtedly the primary driving force behind the team’s recent winning streak, the rise of Jonathan Kuminga has also played a crucial role for the Dubs.
After all, Kuminga has emerged as arguably the second-best player on the Warriors roster, only behind Curry.
Of course, Kuminga has worked hard to earn the trust of his head coach, Steve Kerr, but veteran forward Draymond Green believes his indefinite suspension earlier in the season also acted as a positive influence via The Athletic NBA on Twitter.
“Honestly getting suspended helped. JK’s taken off… Our offense doesn’t look the same like it used to,” Green said.
Draymond thinks there was a silver-lining from his indefinite suspension.

Green has been severely berated for lack of control over his aggression during the start of the 2023-24 NBA season.
Green engaged in a plethora of avoidable altercations with his opponents, which ultimately led to the four-time NBA champion serving a 12-game suspension.
Instead of sulking about getting suspended, Green pointed out that it actually helped in Kuminga’s career taking off.
After all, prior to getting suspended, Green was the first-choice power forward for Kerr in the starting lineup.
Regardless of the silver lining, Green still mentioned that he had no intentions to get suspended, and it wasn’t a good experience.
As of now, the Warriors are soaring with confidence with a five-game winning streak under the belt.
Following their recent 129-107 win over the Utah Jazz, the Warriors now have a 26-25 record as they remain the 10th seed in the Western Conference.
