The Golden State Warriors needed Draymond Green on the court.
The former Defensive Player of the Year served a five-game suspension over his altercation with Rudy Gobert, and while it may have seemed a little blunt, it’s evident that the league is always looking to make an example out of him.
Perhaps that’s why he didn’t want to stir the pot any further.
When asked about whether he had seen Gobert’s comments on him after the fight, Green simply stated that he obviously heard them, but he had no comment about them (via Warriors on NBC Sports).

Still, Green thoroughly thought of his answer for at least 10 seconds before saying that, so you know he was biting his tongue to give the French man a piece of his mind.
For those who need context, Gobert stated that Green was a ‘clown’ and said that he always gets himself ejected when Stephen Curry doesn’t play because he doesn’t like to play without Steph.
Their feud goes a long way back, from Green stating that he should’ve won the DPOY over him and calling him soft to Gobert getting a little too physical against him every single time they square off.
Whatever the case, it was definitely wise of Green to save his comments and keep his money in his pocket.
The league has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to Draymond Green, clearly, so he’ll have to let his game do all the talking the next time the Dubs face the Timberwolves.
