The Golden State Warriors have enjoyed great success in the NBA since the trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green formed.
While Steve Kerr is usually credited for being an excellent head coach and leading the team to four NBA championships, the impact of Mark Jackson on the Dubs is sometimes forgotten.
Jackson served as the head coach of the team from 2011 to 2014, and during this time, the above-mentioned trio truly started to hit its stride.
A key reason behind the rise of Curry, Thompson, and Green was the confidence that Jackson instilled in them.
In fact, Green recently spoke highly of the former Warriors head coach via The Volume on Twitter.
“Where I do give Mark credit is the confidence that he instilled in us to be okay with being us,” Green said.

Green revealed that it was none other than Mark Jackson who allowed them to play their natural games.
Jackson apparently boosted Curry’s confidence multiple times, and it helped him become a bona fide superstar in the league.
A perfect example of this is the fact that Curry averaged just 14.7 points per game for the Dubs in Jackson’s first year of coaching.
However, Curry elevated his numbers to 22.9 points per game in the 2012-13 NBA season.
On the other hand, Green also mentioned how Jackson gave Thompson the green light to shoot at will.
It made Thompson one of the most dangerous three-point shooters in the NBA.
At the end of the day, if it wasn’t for Jackson’s issues with the ownership of the organization, he could have helped the Warriors reach the same heights that the team reached under Kerr.
