The Golden State Warriors took down the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night, defeating the team 131-109.
That was a strong showing from the often-troubled Warriors, especially since the Pacers have the best offensive rating in the league.
Speaking on his show, Draymond Green said the victory was mostly due to Stephen Curry, who wanted revenge.
Curry reportedly remembered last season, when Andrew Nembhard and other Pacers players beat the Warriors and felt overly confident.
Because of that, Curry went into “menace mode” on Thursday, according to Green.
In this instance, “menace mode” looked like 42 points from Curry, who shot 15-of-22 from the field and 11-of-16 from the three-point line.
Curry has had a few remarkably strong games lately.
It is true that he only put up 9 points a few nights before against the Philadelphia 76ers.
But earlier this week, Curry scored an amazing 60 points against the Atlanta Hawks.
It certainly seems that Curry has something to prove, about himself and his team, who have been struggling all season long.
Even at 35 years old, Curry is putting up 28 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game this season, proving that he is still one of the best point guards in the league.
The Warriors have been in trouble since the start of the season but they have now put together three consecutive wins.
Impressive as that is, the team is still the 11th seed in the West, with a tough week ahead.
The Warriors will battle the Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, and Los Angeles Clippers in the upcoming days.
Is there a chance that Curry will go into menace mode again during that time?
If so, the Warriors could possibly breach the top-ten teams in the West.
