Chris Paul is undoubtedly in the final years of his amazing NBA career.
Although Paul has won a plethora of accolades throughout his time in the league, the former fourth-overall pick is yet to win an NBA Championship.
Keeping that in mind, many believed that the championship drought for Paul will be finally following his trade to the Golden State Warriors this past season.
While Paul is no longer the star he once was in the league, he has been helping the Dubs as much as possible.
Unfortunately, the veteran guard will have to stay sidelined for a considerable time following a left-hand injury against the Detroit Pistons.
Speaking of which, Doctor Amy Ladd provided a potential timetable of return for Chris Paul via Warriors on NBCS on Twitter.
“I think that would hasten it by a couple of weeks based on being a non-dominant injury. It’s not a season-ender,” Ladd said.

The doctor mentioned that Chris Paul most likely had a metacarpal fracture, which means a bone fracture.
While the injury may seem scary, Amy Ladd pointed out that this is not a season-ending injury.
In fact, as per Ladd, thanks to the injury not occurring on his dominant hand, it could mean that he will be back to the team in a matter of weeks or, in the worst-case scenario, a month or two.
All things considered, it’s good news for the Warriors, as they need as much help as possible, considering their underwhelming performance this season.
The Warriors are currently 17-18 this season and whether they can improve their record in the absence of Chris Paul or not will be a huge talking point over the next few weeks.
