When Andre Iguodala recently announced his retirement, many thought we hadn’t seen the last of the Golden State Warriors icon.
He is only 39 years old and is still very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the NBA.
He has plenty of wisdom to share, even if it’s off the court.
Now, according to Sports Media Watch via NBACentral, ESPN plans to sign both Austin Rivers and Iguodala to a media deal.

According to reports, the former Finals MVP will sit alongside Rivers, Becky Hammon, Stephanie White, and Scott Perry for analysis of the 2023-24 NBA season.
He will have a lot of insight and information to give his fellow analysts and the audience.
Iguodala played in the NBA for 19 years after being the first-round pick in 2004.
Throughout his time in the league, he suited up for the Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, and of course, the Warriors.
His career average was 11.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.
Iguodala was a four-time champion, an All-Star, and earned the Finals MVP trophy in 2015.
It’s clear that he will be one of the smartest and best analysts on TV this year.
As his career was winding down, some people speculated that Iguodala could have a shot at being a head coach in the league.
He is certainly a very inspiring figure who can lead players well.
But Iguodala has instead chosen to spend time with his family, get started in the business world, and sign this deal with ESPN.
Several former NBA greats have found second careers calling games and giving analysis for television.
Will Iguodala be the next one to become a breakout sensation?
