On Thursday night, the NBA world was talking about the possibility of the Los Angeles Lakers trading LeBron James.
This was because of a rumor that popped up on Twitter and then quickly spread all over the web.
On Friday morning’s Get Up, Alan Hahn said the Golden State Warriors should try to get James, for a number of reasons.
“You know LeBron has always wanted to play with Steph Curry, you put these two together,” Hahn said.
He claimed that James would fit very well alongside Curry and that Draymond Green would also be elated to play beside his close friend.
“That would be a spectacle,” Hahn said.
Hahn said this new-look Warriors would give James, Curry, and Green a chance to win one more championship before they all retire.
He dubbed it “The Expendables 5” because of the age of these three stars.
Hahn admitted that the Warriors would have a hard time putting together any sort of deal the Lakers would agree to.
If LA really did entertain the idea of trading James, they would demand a positively huge, jaw-dropping haul for him.
They aren’t going to give James away for anything short of massive.
The Warriors have some promising young stars on the roster, but that probably wouldn’t be enough to appease the Lakers.
For now, all of this is a rumor and a far-fetched one at that.
Some fans have always wondered what it would look like if James made his way up to Golden State for the last few years of his career.
However, it doesn’t seem like that is going to happen unless the Warriors can put together an enormous deal.
