Everyone has an opinion about the idea of Kevin Durant coming back to play for the Golden State Warriors.
There is no proof or suggestion that any deal sending Durant back to the Bay Area is happening but there is speculation that it could happen.
But what happens if it does?
Some people feel like it would be a horrible move for both sides and some feel it would be a great way to ensure multiple championships in a few short years.

Former player and current NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins has a strong take on the possible trade.
He says that Durant would “tarnish” his legacy if he went back to the Warriors, even if he helps the team win more rings.
This opinion is shared by others who want Durant to remain away from the team that helped him win two Finals.
Would Durant’s legacy really be so torn up if he comes back to Golden State?
Durant Damaged?
Durant is one of the best players in the league and the Warriors are obviously the best team around so why wouldn’t this pairing make sense even if it’s been attempted before?
It would look bad for Durant because it would come across as ring-chasing and would feel a tad bit desperate.
As for the Warriors, why would they mess up a good thing?
They just won the Finals again – while Durant got swept in the first round of the playoffs – so they obviously have a strong squad that doesn’t need the star power of Durant.
Plus, acquiring Durant would mean the Warriors would have to send away a lot and that could set them back greatly.
It’s hard to say if legacies would be tarnished but getting Durant would definitely mess up the very good thing the Warriors have now.
